Description

The purpose of a wire rope thimble is to support the eyes made by looping the exteriors of wire ropes and cables. Thimbles create a durable wear surface and support the shape of the cable eye. For durability and longevity, the use of stainless steel thimbles with stainless cable is recommended in highly corrosive environments. Thimbles are typically used with either wire rope clips or swage sleeves to create an eye form with wire rope or cable. Thimbles are also available in 316 Stainless Steel material upon request.
