Stainless Steel Round Flat Washers Type 18-8 Stainless Steel (300 Series) resist atmospheric corrosion in damp environments and exterior applications. Flat Washers are used to increase the bearing load surface and distribute the clamp load of the fastened connection.
The inside diameter of a washer will be slightly larger than its listed size for easy assembly with the matching bolt or screw.
18-8 Stainless Steel is a group of austenitic 300 Series Stainless Steels with an 18% Chromium content and 8% Nickel content. ASTM F594 Grades 303, 303Se, 304 and XM7 are in the 18-8 group.
