Grade 70 Alloy Steel Forged Clevis Slip Hooks are used with Grade 70 Transport Safety Chain (Binder Chain) for securing and lifting objects. Please note that Grade 70 Hooks are not safety rated for Overhead Lifts. They are commonly used for material handling and load securing applications. They feature a wider throat opening than a Grab Hook, which allows the chain to move freely through the hook. The Safety Latch keeps the chain secured inside the hook under slack load conditions. The safety latch is not load rated and should never be placed under strain.

These 3/8" G70 Clevis Slip Hooks have a Working Load Limit of 5,250 lbs and feature a 4:1 Safety Factor with a Minimum Breaking Strength of 21,000 lbs. For easy identification the hooks are stamped both with the size, which indicates the chain size it is to be used with, and a G70 to indicate it's material.

Grade 70 rated for superior strength, these hooks are drop forged, quenched and tempered alloy steel and plated with a Yellow/Gold Zinc Chromate finish, for an attractive appearance and to resist corrosion.

Do not use for overhead lifting or exceed the working load limit.
