Finished Pattern Full Hex Nuts manufactured of Type 316 Stainless Steel offer superior resistance to corrosion in Salt Water and Marine environments and also resist corrosion when exposed to Chlorines, making 316 Stainless Steel fasteners the superior choice for severe industrial applications as well.

316 stainless steel is a highly corrosion resistant austenitic alloy which differs from the more common 18-8 series of Stainless alloys by virtue of its higher molybdenum content (2-3%) and a higher nickel content (10-14%). Nuts made of 316 stainless steel are marked "316" on the nut face for easy identification.
