Heat shrink tubing is a soft plastic material that shrinks when heated, which is commonly used to cover the end of wires to make them watertight. It is also often used on wiring harnesses, electrical components, and other parts that are designed to be inserted into through-holes in equipment panels. Heat shrink tubing is available in different sizes with several different levels of shrinkage ratio depending on the degree of protection desired or required by the application.
