Viking Type 33 Metric HSS Bottom Hand Taps are designed specifically for carrying a full useable thread to the bottom of a tapped hole. Bottom taps have 1 or 2 chamfered threads and are typically used as a secondary tap after the initial threads have been created using a Taper or Plug tap. Bottom taps may be used in both blind or through hole tapping. For tapping operations that require a complete thread to the bottom of a blind hole a Bottom tap will be required. Viking taps are made in America of High Speed Steel with a bright finish. They can be used for tapping by hand or under power.
