The unique Vortex stepped tip design is self-centering and self-starting and features a Black and Gold surface treatment for faster, easier cutting. Vortex point bits can also safely ream and enlarge existing holes without damaging the drill point. Vortex bits are exceptional for drilling sheet metal.

Positive chuck grip is achieved with the 3-Flats on shank design, making the bits ideal for use in hand-held drills with Jacob-style keyed or keyless chucks.
