NTU Series Heavy Hex Thin Jam Style Nylon Insert Lock Nuts Plain Finish
Nylon Insert Lock Nuts feature a nylon locking ring located at the top of the metal nut body that, when fully engaged with the bolt threads will grip the bolt tightly and prevent loosening of the threads, even under severe vibration. Nylon Insert Lock Nuts will not damage bolt threads and also offer limited reusability. To work effectively the bolt must extend 3 to 4 threads beyond the nylon locking ring of the nut when fully tightened in place. The generally accepted maximum working temperature for nylon insert lock nuts is 250° Fahrenheit
