Drive Spike Anchors are tamper and vibration resistant one-piece high strength anchors for use in Normal or Lightweight concrete and Grout filled masonry (CMU). Spike Anchors are pre-formed with a bend along the anchor shaft that creates an expansion wedge that locks the anchor in place when driven into the correctly sized installation hole in Masonry. Drive Spike anchors are sized to be driven into a drilled hole that is the same size as their diameter. As an example, ¼” diameter Drive Spike Anchor will require a pilot hole drilled by a standard ¼” Carbide Masonry Bit. No special drill bits or tools are required, simply install the anchor into the masonry using an appropriately sized hammer. There is no need for a secondary tightening or setting procedure which speeds up and greatly reduces the cost of the anchor installation.
The large diameter Mushroom Head distributes the setting load over a large area for a secure installation. Double Headed Forming Spike Anchors are removable and ideal for temporary installations. Pipe Spike Anchors are ideal for overhead hanging installations when used with Threaded Rod. Manufactured of case hardened steel with a bright zinc chromate finish. 316 Stainless Steel Spikes are available upon request for more corrosive environments.
