DeWalt’s SDS-Plus rebar cutters feature optimized carbide tip geometry that easily drills through metal rebar embedded in concrete.
The new head design enables drilling while in hammer mode and the SDS-Plus shank allows users to easily switch between masonry bits and the rebar cutter as needed.
Rebar Cutters are used to cut through embedded steel reinforcing bar found in concrete. They are used to prevent ruining the masonry hammer bit, which cannot cut through metal rebar and will be damaged if the hammer bit is used when rebar is encountered.
Please Note: Rebar cutter bits are meant only for cutting through metal rebar that is embedded in concrete. Users should immediately return to using a standard carbide masonry bit for drilling concrete once they have successfully cut through the metal rebar using the rebar cutter bit.
