Halo Hull and Surface Cleaner is an excellent cleaning agent for difficult or stubborn cleaning jobs when used in appropriate applications. HALO is a dry powdered carboxylic acid compound that is mixed with warm to hot water and may be used to remove rust, algae, mold, and other difficult stains from areas such as fiberglass boats, swimming pools, concrete driveways, sidewalks, building exteriors, iron machinery, wood decks, stairs or trim. HALO is also an excellent wood bleach to be used on light unfinished wood surfaces to remove stains and restore the wood to its natural color and appearance. Halo is available in economical 40 lb Pails and in convenient 20 oz. plastic screw top jars.
Mixing and Usage instructions:
When cleaning fiberglass boat hulls, concrete surfaces, and buildings, and for general-purpose cleaning projects thoroughly mix 4 to 8 ounces (8 oz = 1 cup) of HALO per gallon of warm water.
When bleaching, cleaning, and removing stains from unfinished wood surfaces use up to two (2) cups of HALO per gallon of hot water. Mix thoroughly until dissolved.
Halo may be applied directly on the surface to be cleaned using a spray bottle, wiped on with a sponge, or for larger areas the use of a handheld pump sprayer is ideal. When cleaning wood surfaces spread the solution evenly to avoid uneven bleaching.
Allow the solution to sit on the surface to be cleaned for a few minutes, or even longer for treating difficult stains. Scrub with a stiff bristled brush to remove stains and then rinse thoroughly with fresh water to remove all residue. Difficult stains may require repeated cleanings with HALO.
When removing rust from metal parts pre-clean the item to remove all grease, grime, and oil. Soak the part in a solution of 10 parts water to 1 part HALO and allow the part to soak for up to a day. After the rust is removed, rinse the part with fresh water and dry it completely.
Safety Cautions:
HALO is an acid product, when handling it always wear and use eye, skin, and respiratory protection. Utilize protective clothing such as goggles, and rubber or nitrile gloves, and wear an appropriate respirator when measuring, mixing, and using HALO. Take extra precautions to avoid inhaling HALO powder and fumes. Do not ingest HALO in any form. HALO should only be mixed and used outdoors where there is plenty of ventilation and where the cleaning surface can be thoroughly rinsed off. Be mindful of wind so that the dry HALO powder does not blow into the face or eyes while being measured and mixed.
HALO may be rinsed off onto the lawn or ground and if plenty of fresh water is used when rinsing there should be no damage to plants or nearby surfaces.
